Angels Gate Silent No More Art Workshop, June 25, 2016, San Pedro CA

Silent No More Art Workshop involves an artist talk by me, the creation of a functional art object, and a group exercise and discussion. The workshop is a creative vehicle of support and empowerment that encourages participants to use their voices in order to combat rape culture. Whether they are survivors, bystanders or advocates of sexual assault victims; through the use of metaphor, participants experience the personal and therapeutic impact of speaking out against sexual violence. My work in the exhibition, Coming to the Table, at Angels Gate, concurrent with the Silent No More Art Workshop.  It is an autobiographical conceptual portrait of me and my family (my husband and our six children) as affected by the drugging, sexual violence and threats I suffered in the early 1990’s at the hands and mouth of Bill Cosby.
